I am a software engineer focusing on the user experience in enterprise business systems for government, commercial and non-profit customers. I have worked with firms from Fortune 100 companies to small ministries, leveraging a variety of back-end technologies and UI designs to create innovative systems that radically increase profits, streamline workflows and delight the user.
My passion is to create software that the users love, both because of what it does for them and because the UI is attractive and easy to use.
Nothing is more satisfying than to create an application that solves a serious business problem, works elegantly and looks good. These examples showcase projects I have done.
Since first studying photography in high school in 1970 I have been fascinated with the mechanics and artistry of capturing images. The advent of digital photography has opened up new worlds of possibilities, both through creative effects, and by the ability to easily tweak and crop photos without the use of costly equipment and chemicals.
Much of my photography is from the Oregon coast and from Sicily, two of my favorite locations.
